Frequently Asked Questions:
Why is the Blood Type Diet A big part of your treatment at Integrated Health And is it effective?
The Blood Type Diet was developed by my colleague Dr Peter D'Adamo who has been working with this system for quite some time . As a Nutritionist in the early days I could not work out why one diet would work for one person and not the other (one mans medicine is another mans poison priciple) I experiented personally with many diets including Atkins, Zone, and Low fat Diets and had little or no success. I then stumbled apon the Blood Type Diet and well the rest is histrory! Since this time I have realised the importance of Genetic specificity when prescribing diets, and the Blood Type Diet provides us genetic information that we can use to tailor diets for individuals. When we treat patients as individuals we achieve greater results then using one diet fits all principle which does not make sense to me.
Have you trained in Blood Type Medicine/Diet or did you just read the book ?
Yes I have completed post graduate studies in the United States on Two occasions, certification and Master certification, and I am a proud master of the institute of human individuality. MIFHI (USA) After reading the book I wanted to learn more about Blood Type science and be able to use it correctly and not just mearly hand out a generic diet for all. The studies in the US have helped me understand the science of the system and get feedback from the worlds best such as DR D and Dr Jeff Bland...............
What is your view on Allopathic Medicine and how do you use it in your practice?
At the clinic we strive to give patients a perspective between allopathic medicine and complimentary medicine. We see it is very important to get the very best of what both have to offer. We make it our mission to have convential tests as well as alternative screenings to ensure patients get a comprehensive analysis done. The choice is then left up to the patient to decide which treatment they would to to undergo whether it be convetional or alternative.
