Dr Jason Mallia is a Sydney Naturopath , acupuncturist and founder of Integrated Health Australia located in Annandale NSW. He is a registered Chinese Medicine practitioner (Acupuncture) with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia and an accredited naturopath with the Australian Traditional Medicine Society. With more than three decades of clinical experience, Jason uses a personalised functional medicine and integrative health approach to help patients address the underlying drivers of chronic health conditions.

Jason is a highly experienced practitioner with over three decades of clinical experience across multiple modalities in natural and integrative medicine. His clinical work integrates naturopathy, functional medicine, nutrition, acupuncture and manual therapies to create personalised treatment programs for his patients.

He has appeared on radio locally and internationally and is a published writer in the Journal of Natural Medicine (South Africa) and other health publications.

Jason recently completed his thesis on the integrative treatment of lower back pain, further expanding his work in the management of musculoskeletal disorders.

Experience

Jason has a strong background in sports nutrition and sports injury therapy, having worked with a wide range of professional and elite athletes throughout his career.

He has consulted to the West Tigers Rugby League Football Club and has worked with elite athletes including:

  • professional triathletes
  • hurdlers
  • boxers
  • elite soccer players (AC Milan)
  • AFL players

He is currently the team sports injury therapist for the Malta Rugby League National Team.

Over the past decade Jason’s clinical practice has evolved alongside his own personal development. Through experience he discovered the profound importance of integrative medicine and personalised healthcare in restoring health and balance.

He understands and respects the role of different modalities within healthcare systems and recognises when each approach is appropriate. Jason has also drawn from his own personal healing journey, bringing those insights into his clinical practice.

He strongly believes in “practicing what you preach” and that every individual requires personalised health care rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

“It is more important to know what sort of person has a disease than to know what sort of disease a person has.”
