This is a modern formulation that was originally developed to treat low back pain, sciatica and other forms of arthritis of the lower body in elderly patients with Kidney deficiency. It was noted to have some beneficial side effects, i.e. restoring sexual function in both male and female patients. The formula is now widely prescribed for male sexual dysfunction and female infertility.

Another important use for this formula is in the treatment of chronic allergic disorders (e.g. allergic rhinitis, atopic asthma, atopic eczema) during the remission phase.

ACTIONS OF THE MAIN HERBS

Epimedium herb is used orally for impotence, involuntary ejaculation, weak back and knees, arthralgia, mental and physical fatigue, memory loss, hypertension, coronary heart disease, bronchitis, chronic hepatitis, polio, chronic leukopenia, viral myocarditis, and as a tonic and aphrodisiac. It has been shown to have androgenic, immune stimulant, cardiotonic, anti-inflammatory, expectorant, antitussive, hypotensive, antibacterial and antiviral actions.
Morinda root is used orally for debility, enuresis, polyuria, hernia, impotence and premature ejaculation, back pain, depression, increasing white blood cell count, stimulating the endocrine system, improving kidney function, and strengthening the skeletal and nervous systems. It has been shown to have androgenic, immune stimulant and tonic actions as well as increasing the release of luteinising hormone.

Tonifies the Kidney Yang, enriches and astringes the Kidney Essence, nourishes the Blood and the Kidney Yin, dispels Wind-Cold-Damp to unblock the Channels and Collaterals.

Indications
Sexual hypofunction (lack of libido, infertility), impotence (or erectile dysfunction), premature ejaculation, polyuria, nocturia, lower back pain, sciatica, essential tremor, allergies (remission stage treatment), chronic inflammatory bowel disease, chronic recurrent cystitis.

Dosage & Course Of Treatment
8 pills, 3 times daily, half to one hour away from food.

Course of treatment: 3 – 12 months.

Cautions & Contraindications
