BLACK PEARL BP018 QING QI HUA TAN WAN CITRUS & ARISAEMA
Clears Heat, resolves Phlegm redirects the Lung Qi downward and alleviates cough.

Indications:
Bronchitis, rhinitis, nasosinusitis, influenza, pneumonia, emphysema, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Dosage and Course of Treatment:
8 – 12 pills, 3 times daily, half to one hour away from food.
In severe cases and in the early stages of treatment (first 1 – 3 weeks) the dosage may be increased by 50 – 100%.
Course of treatment: 2 – 4 weeks for acute conditions (at higher dosage); 3 months or more for chronic conditions (at lower dosage).

COMBINATIONS
Bronchitis or asthma with concurrent URTI: Xiao Qing Long Tang (Minor Blue Dragon Combination BP064); Si Miao Yong An Wan (Lonicera & Scrophularia Formula BP059); Yu Ping Feng San (Jade Screen Formula BP037).
Bronchitis, chronic with productive cough (thick yellow sputum): Ding Chuan Wan (Ginkgo Nut & Apricot Seed Formula BP008).
Common cold or ?flu with productive cough (thick yellow sputum): Zhi Sou San (Platycodon & Stemona Formula BP054).
With swollen lymph nodes: Nei Xiao Luo Li Wan (Prunella & Scrophularia Formula BP043).

– Wolfiporia cocos, fruit. body 茯苓 72.2 mg
– Scutellaria baicalensis, root 黃芩 57.7 mg
– Prunus armeniaca, seed 苦杏仁 57.7 mg
– Trichosanthes kirilowii, seed 瓜萎子 43.3 mg
– Pinellia ternata, tuber 半夏 43.3 mg
– Citrus aurantium, fruit 枳殼 43.3 mg
– Fritillaria thundbergii, bulb 浙貝母 28.8 mg
– Citrus reticulata, fruit peel 陳皮 28.8 mg

Cautions and Contraindications:
Caution for those on anti-coagulant medications (i.e. Heparin, warfarin or aspirin). Caution in patients taking drugs that affect the central nervous system, antihypertensives, antiarrhythmic drugs (e.g. quinidine, procainamide, disopyramide) Not suitable for use during pregnancy.
